The 2009 Hurricane season lasts through Nov. 30th,
and computer models predict that 12 named tropical storms will form in the
Atlantic Basin with six developing into hurricanes and two becoming major
hurricanes with winds faster than 110 mph.
The Connecticut Survivalist Alliance (CSA) encourages individuals to prepare for
disasters ahead of time, make and practice a family emergency plan and stay informed about threats, hazards or events that can trigger emergency situations.
