The Connecticut Survivalist Alliance (CSA),
is expecting things to quickly deteriorate over the next 6 months with
hyper-inflationary prices on the basic essentials of life.
Many of the so-called experts are predicting that gasoline prices could hit
$4.00 a gallon by the end of 2010.
With gas prices in many areas of the former United States already hovering
around $3.00 a gallon,
and some areas paying as much as $3.50 a gallon,
the CSA guesstimates that gas prices will climb over $5.00 a gallon.
The price of food has begun to rise as well.
Rising demand and reduced supply has already driven supermarket prices for 16
basic foods up 6.2% in the first quarter of 2010.
As inventories of food become extremely low, and the price of gas rises,
you will really see how fragile society is.
The average supermarket replenishes every 1 to 1 1/2 days.
The average citizen has 3 days of food on hand at home. As the old addage goes,
"we are just 9 meals away from anarchy".
In New Orleans after Katrina, it only took 4 days for the city to break out in
complete anarchy.
As food becomes scare or unavailable, this time table will play out in city
after city.
Knowing the adage of "9 meals" can save your life.
As groups of starving people band together,
they will succumb to mob mentality,
and become starving hordes capable of perform horrific acts of violence.
Time is very, very short.
If you have not prepared already,
do so now.
We are not going to make this a treatise in how to prepare,
if you don't how do do that,
it's already too late for you.
