While most of the world focuses its attention on Haiti,
little has been made of the the 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Chile.
With a relatively small death toll as compared to Haiti,
the minimal aid response has forced desperate and hungry residents to resort to
looting.
Police have been using tear gas and water cannons to disperse looters,
while some have taken security into their own hands.
