While the mainstream medias attention is focused on several Somali American youths who have joined Al-Shabaab, (a rag tag group of Somali Islamists linked to al-Qaeda), an audio message from al-Qaeda's chief in North Africa that calls on Algerians to boycott their country's presidential elections on Thursday.
Abu Musab Abdul-Wadud says in the message that the election will be rigged to ensure re-election of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and that the only was for Algerians to bring change is through "jihad and sacrifice".
Its authenticity cannot be verified as we have no known good samples of Sheikh Abu Musab Abdul-Wadud's voice on file.
