Negative Press As We Predicted

Just as we thought,
the Geauga County Home Guard (the third division of the Ohio Defense Force Home Guard),
which had planned to host a training exercise in a Middlefield neighborhood was forced to cancel the exercise.

The training was scrapped amid outcries from residents,
worried about live-fire exercises in their heavily wooded neighborhood nestled alongside the Geauga Park District's Swine Creek Reservation in Middlefield Township.

The article of course gives the authoquot the chance to quote the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC),
which likes to spew their own brand of racism and hate which they try to hide by naming everyone else as "hate" groups.
The Ohio Defense Force is listed on their "Patriot' Groups Active in the Year 2008" list (as are we).

The SPLC list of Patriot groups carries a disclaimer that a group's inclusion,
"does not imply that the groups themselves advocate or engage in violence or other criminal activities or are racist."

Turn about is fair play,
we have listed the SPLC on our "Propagandist and Disinformation Group List" issued to members.
Their inclusion on this list DOES imply exactly that.
SPLC is a hate group, and has nothing to do with "Poverty" or "The South".

Please take note that the Southern Poverty Law Center,
was cited as a research source for the now discredited Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) report.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC),
has issued a national advisory to all local, state, and Federal law enforcement agencies and officers,
along with all DHS Fusion Centers, warning against any reliance upon faulty and politicized research issued by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC),
and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).
