Profiteering Self Proclaimed Cyberterrorist Researchers

Much can be learned on how NOT to do things from the
tactics of self proclaimed cyberterrorist researchers.

Most often these individuals are those that have "subscriber" services and try
to entice people into a monthly fee for information.

Let me get that straight, you want me to pay you for information posted free on the Internet.
The idea of that concept is totally ludicrous.
Unless you've fallen off a turnip truck recently, that concept should sound
totally ludicrous to you also.

Our groups policy has always been not to release information on an audio or
video release until the media whores announce it to the world.

They are in such a competition to take credit for finding information and gain more subscribers,
that they unintentionally disclose where they may have obtained the information.
By staggering release times on forums and chat rooms, the terrorists can narrow
down potential informants.

What makes matters even worse is that these self proclaimed cyberterrorist
researchers advertise their methods to the mainstream media.
Real jihadists are not the incompetent lackeys that these self proclaimed
cyberterrorist researchers make them out to be.

Psychological warfare (PSYWAR) is defined as:
"The planned use of propaganda and other psychological actions having the
primary purpose of influencing the opinions, emotions, attitudes,
and behavior of hostile foreign groups in such a way as to support the
achievement of national objectives".

It's unfortunate that these "subscriber" services haven't learned that lesson yet.
