The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI),
is warning of the potential for increased pirate activity off the coast of Somalia and the Gulf of Aden,as the monsoon season ends in four to six weeks.
The former United States Navy is advising mariners to use a designated corridor
when transiting the Gulf of Aden.
The corridor is patrolled by 30 warships, supported by aircraft from 16 nations.
