We have eyewitness confirmation of the construction of 40' cement walls at
Leavenworth.
Construction of the new detention facilities means United States Disciplinary
Barracks (USDB), won't be the only
correctional facility on the Leavenworth post.
Under the guise of building a regional correctional facility to replace three
location due to close,
under the Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC)
we have been led to believe that this is a cover story for the
construction of a VIP Evacuation and Support Facility (VISF).
The Obama administration has given military officials at the White House a
bigger operational role in creating a backup government if the nation’s capital
were “decapitated”.
Under this new structure, the White House Military Office, which reports to the
office of the White House chief of staff,
has assumed a more central role in setting up a temporary “shadow government” in
a crisis.
One of the first reported orders of this newly empowered White House Military
Office, was to create an alternative to Guantanamo at the Leavenworth post.
Since most VISF's have been already identified and cataloged,
a state of the art Continuity of Government (COG) ,
facility was included in the detention facilities plans.
Leavenworth was selected for several reasons.
The construction of the VISF could be masked by the construction of the new
detention facilities, and since it is "on post", and home of the Combined Arms Center, they consider it a secure location.
